Sampa, renowned for advanced quality and innovative solutions, presented two incredible projects: MRE and Hemp. R&D centre, CAMP, unveiled a video showing newly developed “smart material”- magnetorheological elastomer, MRE, for short. The material properties of MRE can be softened or hardened through the control of electrical ‘magnetic’ frequencies.

MRE can be used in the manufacturing of rubber parts for the suspension system, and to provide precise control and comfort for on-road and off-road applications.

Sampa also values sustainability and chose to reveal another exciting project, Hemp, dedicated to the manufacture of more eco-friendly parts.

In the near future, Sampa will be able to use biodegradable ‘hemp fibre’ which is up to 30% more sustainable as a filler, instead of the old and wasteful carbon black. Hemp has a relatively low carbon footprint without sacrificing mechanical properties, in order to provide advanced quality parts whilst staying eco-friendly.
