Peekaru: The Freakiest Baby Carrier You’ll Ever See

Ok. I know what you’re thinking. What is that and where can I get two!?! We’ll get to that in a minute.

This, my friend, is THE FUTURE of baby carriers.  This is known as the Peekaru (cue the “awws”).  It’s basically a polar fleece pouch that’s attached to a vest.  Functional AND fashionable, I know, right?!

You may be thinking, what were the creators of this product thinking?  Yeah, like holding a baby on one arm is soooo difficult.  I mean if Britney Spears could do it then…

OK. Bad example.

Anyways, the next best thing to freeing up your arms, or the piece of crap being currently used, is what I’d like to call the baby sash/sling.  The typical sash carrier is basically a cloth wrap that goes asymmetrically over one shoulder and under the baby.

Simple enough… but is it good enough for your pride and joy?  Your one and only?

There’s plenty of variations of this sash, with some being more secure than others, but if you want to avoid pulling a “Britney” (especially for those times you might be upside down) then you want to opt for the crème de la creme of baby carriers – the peekaru.  So what would you be willing to pay for this fabulous piece of technological innovation?

1000$?

500$?

200$?

No! It’s only 79.95!! (+shipping/tax).

All kidding aside, that picture taken at the top is most likely one of their first designs and/or the people at the photo shoot had no clue how to wear it correctly.  I trolled through their website and could not find the “humanoid baby bursting out of my chest” model, but was otherwise pleased by their “normal” looking carriers.

Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed and would have ordered that model whether or not I had a baby.  It is interesting to note, however, that in my quest for this elusive model, I happened to come across a website that contained a whole category of photoshopped memes.  I guess I’m not the only one that found the original design somewhat flawed.

Anyways, take a look at the peekaru baby carrier as it looks plenty warm and secure for your baby (or furry replacement).  It even works for men!
