As a consequence of its emphasis on the RD activities and the lack of qualified work force in Samsun, in 2013 Sampa started the reverse brain drain from the other regions of Turkey, especially Istanbul, to Samsun, which enables the city of Samsun to develop rapidly. The reverse brain drain is still running.
